Real Betis striker Vitor Roque, 19, has admitted he had a difficult time at Barcelona before joining Betis on an initial one-year loan deal, which has allowed him to focus more on the game, Mundo Deportivo reported on Friday.

Barcelona have allowed Vitor Roque to join Real Betis on a one-year loan with the option to extend the deal and make it permanent. The 19-year-old forward is currently on the move to Brazil U20.

‘It’s quite complicated for me. I had some chances to play, but it wasn’t what I thought. I have a clear mind now. I’m focused on Betis and I will always thank God for the opportunity to wear the national shirt again.’

‘I think it will be different in terms of treatment, playing and the management talking to me.’

The Brazilian forward also revealed that he worked with a psychologist to help him through a difficult period in his football career.

‘I’ve always been in therapy. I’ve always had a coach who looked after me mentally. He’s always helped me. When I was 16, I had to overcome some obstacles.’

“He has helped me all the way through ยูฟ่าเบท. And to this day he still helps me a lot to overcome many obstacles,” Vitor Roque said.
